I survived my first month of Insanity! Drinks for everybody!
Tomorrow I begin my recovery week, and after that I’ll begin THE REAL STUFF. I previewed the workouts I’ll be doing in Month Two, and they make Month one look like a cake glazing contest.
Or something.
I pushed harder than ever on last night’s Plyometric Cardio Circuit, and, needless to say, I was dead by the end. but it was fun.
Before Insanity, a completed Day one of Week 4 of my running program. run three minutes. Walk two minutes. Repeat eight times. With every run I get a little stronger, and a little faster, and I think more and more that someday, running a marathon is what I want to do.
I’ve been collecting more and more books about running, and now I have a tiny army of information about my new passion.
Books make me happy.
I’m currently laughing my way through “The Non-Runner’s Marathon Guide for Women: Get Off Your Butt and on With Your Training” by Dawn Dais. I really empathize with Dais, a woman with little to no running experience, who decided to run a marathon and now shares her peaks and valleys with the runner who’s not really a runner–but wants to be. I love that she decided to honor her deceased grandfather through her running, as I also got off my butt a year ago after my grandmother died of cardiac arrest. my grandmother was a woman who did things, and I loved that about her.
I run in memory of her.
On an unrelated note, did I mention that I am now the proud owner of a well-fitting, bounce minimizing, size 38DD sports bra?
I feel so much lighter now, and I believe that the sports bra is what has aided in my endurance the past two days. I can now run faster, jump higher, swim the Rio Grande, climb Mount Everest, everything!
Okay, maybe not the last two, but if you’re a woman who wants to slap every man who drools over your breasts while your under wire makes your ribcage break open, you understand my happiness. Eureka, I have found it!

I feel much more comfortable now. In 2010 B.B. (Before Bra), I was forced to work out in my lacy bras, which, while mildly attractive, did nothing for safety or stability, and I was one bounce away from having my “girls” drag the floor.
That’s enough delirious joy for one day. on to this week’s goals:
Have a great week!
