I’ve been eating smoothies EVERY weekday for breakfast. They are so delicious, I just don’t know if I’m being healthy however.
Here is my own smoothie recipe I’ve been using:- 1 frozen banana- 4 large strawberries- 1/2 cup of blueberries- 1 small container of FAT-FREE yogurt, no sugar added (90 calories)- 1/2 cup of apple juice (or else its too thick)
I freeze all the fruit myself the night before.
I figure this breakfast gives me all most of my fruit needed for the day, the fat-free yogurt made with whey protein gives me a morning protein boost.
I know the juice is loaded with bad sugars, but I can’t think of a better way to make it less thick and retain the taste.
I add no sugar or anything else.
